Give Me A Call.
Don't hesitate to call 248. 225.0095, we will help you to
define your project as well as assist you in preparing your
materials (as listed below) and establishing a sensible budget.
Collect
Your Materials:
Gather any and all information you think we can use (i.e.
images, verbiage, files, concepts, etc.) If you have digital
copy, be sure to perform a spell check before sending it.
Initially, it is not necessary to have all the text. Preliminary
notes, doodles, design references, etc. are welcome and can
be instrumental in helping us to build the site you want.
Transferring Documents:
Depending on the e-mail provider, large
e-mails are sometimes difficult to handle due to restrictions
on size. LDS can provide alternatives to ensure ease and cost
efficiency of getting the files transferred.
Quality of Graphics:
Photographs are a common graphic element
used in web sites. Be sure to send the best images you possibly
can: clean photos, camera ready art, high resolution images,
etc. If your pictures aren't in good shape, this could cause
many extra hours for the graphic artist to bring those pictures
back to life. Send your pictures (packaged properly so there
is no transfer damage, with a piece of cardboard to prevent
creasing) by standard mail, FedEx, or UPS.
Colors:
Colors on the Internet are shown to
you based on your personal computer system settings. Keep
in mind that colors may show slightly different on other computers.
This unfortunately is out of anyone's control and should be
considered when viewing a new design.
Targeting Your Market:
You are having a web site built for
an express goal. Remember, when you build a web site, you
need to keep the consumer's needs in mind. What you like might
not be what the viewer likes. Check with your designer on
this matter, they are the experts and can provide you with
valuable information based on years of experience.
Communicating with
the Designer:
We are very good web designers and will be able to answer
most of the questions regarding web site design and marketing.
However, no one is as expert about your business needs as
you yourself. Feel free to ask as many questions as you need
and be sure to communicate your ideas thoroughly. Remember,
don't hesitate to communicate. Information about your company.
Client expectations are essential to help us design the most
effective website we can.
How to Save Money:
Remember to communicate with the designer
at the beginning of the project. Don't introduce new design
requirements late in the project. If you have a file in a
digital format by all means send that rather than the print
out. Keep notes, write down your ideas, send e-mails. If you
see something that inspires you, send it over to the designer.
And remember, a picture is worth a thousand words so don't
be bashful about your art skill. Sketch a picture and fax
or e-mail it. This will make for a smooth design process and
keeps you involved as a vital part of the design process.
By using these guidelines
to help yourself and your designer, the project will run smoother,
take less time, and cost less.
